I was wondering, does anyone know, how the nut is on a 480 from 1973? I am 6.3 ft tall and have long fingers. Which Rick would be the best for me? I had tried the 660 but it was kind of tough in some areas.
Also how come the 480 is not listed on the History Page? Thanks in advance, Alexx

Hi Alex
I am 6'4" with big hands and I also have a 1973 480 model. Of the eight Rics I own, I think this '73 has the slimmest neck of all of them. Yes, its a little crowded when making a first postion "A" chord. But I guess I am partial to the slim necks, and have adapted, because I also have the wide neck 650 and 660-12 models but I always gravitate to the slim neck ones.
Each and every Rickenbacker neck has a slightly different feel to them.... part of the beauty of these fine guitars.

If you found the 660 uncomfortable you won't like the 480, which has the narrowest neck of any Rickenbacker guitar I have tried with a width of around 1.59"
