Does anyone know who played a 325 back in the late 50s, early 60s who maybe didn't even know Lennon played one? |

If Lennon hadn't chose a 325 "all those years ago", the guitar would probably only be a footnote now. What do you think? |

If I hadn't been an R.E.M. fan, if I had bought a Queen album instead of Out of Time when I was eleven, I wouldn't be sitting near my girlfriend of six years right now, or playing guitar. That one album literally had that much impact on my life. So, if Lennon hadn't played a Rickenbacker, what would the world be like today? I'd rather not ponder that question. |

I think the question musicfan posed is what if Lennon hadn't played a 325, not what if he hadn't played a Rick. I think Rick still would have made out fine, esp. with George playing one, but I agree that particular model would probably not still be in production today. |

Ah yes it's a "what if" or "twist of fate" kind of thing............... What if Paul McCartney had not chosen a Hofner 500/1............. What if Buddy Holly had not chosen a Stratocaster.............. |
