Just became the owner of a brand new 2013 Ruby 620/6. What an absolutely beautiful guitar. The Ruby finish is killer as is the highly figured buryl Caribbean Rosewood fretboard. Plays great. Fit and finish is pretty much flawless. All the crystal clear classic jangle is there but I was really taken back by how good it sounds for overdriven leads ala The Smithereens and Mike Campbell. I'm a small guy (barely 5'5") and the compact body and deep cutaway feels great. Oh yeah, can't forget the case.......love how it custom fits the 620 perfectly and appears to be built like a piece of Samsonite luggage from the 60's.

Hi and welcome, you sound wrapped! A 620/6 is versatile and suitable for leads with some overdrive. You will probably find more you can do with it as time progresses.

Different amps will give you a different mix but you need to experiment a bit for that.
