I'm pretty sure that is a bad idea. I wouldn't put anything on my Ricks that is sold at a grocery store.

I haven't had any issues polishing all my guitars with Pledge or any other Furniture Polish. One is not cleaning or polishing raw wood, but the clear finish sprayed over the wood, just like in any other furniture, so in my opinion it doesn't matter, even a moist cloth will do the trick.
