Well, I finally broke down and did it...got my dream guitar after all of these years, a brand new 2016 Rickenbacker 325c64. I, like so many other Boomers out there, have wanted one of these ever since that fateful Ed Sullivan show in Miami on February 16th, 1964, their second week appearance. I must say that this guitar's action plays like butter, and absolutely nails the all of the tones that I require from it. I'm currently playing it through a small Vox Pathfinder 15VR, and hope to soon acquire an AC15 as well. I also own Epiphone's EJ-160 John Lennon signature guitar, and the Epiphone "Inspired by John Lennon" Revolution Casino, so this beautiful new work of art stands proudly by their side. Although this is my first post, I read the forums here quite regularly, so that's had great influence on my purchase. I now understand why everyone here loves their Rickenbackers so much.

Congrats, and welcome to the Rickenbacker "extended family"! I, too, love my 325 models...they are the ultimate rhythm guitars!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. And yes, they really are the ultimate rhythm guitar. I thought I'd complete the picture, so I just ordered the Vox Python strap for it yesterday on February 9th, the anniversary of The Beatles' first appearance on Ed Sullivan. I've already posted a video on The Fab Four Facebook page, too...really nice group of people, if you'd like to check them out.

Hey Dwilco268 - are you talking about the Beatles' tribute band, The Fab Four? If so, (and as you know) those guys are fantastic, and I've seen them a couple of times so far...have tickets to see them again on March 31! There's a full concert on youtube of them performing in Burbank on 7/11/15, one of the two shows I've seen so far....here is the link (hope I'm not violating anything by posting it!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rHiDArtjuM Close your eyes and you'd swear you're listening to The Beatles (well, as close as you can get otherwise!)

BTW, I also got the Vox Python strap....pricey, but really nice....it is a heavy strap, though.

All best,
JB

Actually, I was referring to a Facebook Page called The Fab Four. I do know of the tribute group, too. Yeah, I had a $50 gift credit on Amazon, so I pulled the trigger on the Vox Python strap at that price.

Here's a pic of the new 325c64 with the just received Vox Python strap. I must say, the strap is not very practical, and it's quite heavy, but looks cool as hell.

You'll love the AC15! Those are great little amps and sound so nice with Rickenbackers!

Yes, I've acquired the Vox AC15C1 and upgraded it with a new Celestion Blue Alnico speaker, MOD reverb tank, and all new tubes. I've got 1969 Sylvania 12ax7s in the V1and V2 sockets, a Fender 12au7 in the V3 Phase Inverter socket, and new JJ EL84s in the power section. I'm loving the 325c64 through it.
