Take a look at the 1990s Gallery for guitars here. Images of 4 650 guitars are shown: Sierra, Dakota, Excalibur (later called Frisco) and Atlantis.

Which guitar is the oldest?

Of course, only JH knows for sure, but I'm betting on the Atlantis. There's a subtle clue...

Too subtle for me. Sure does make me miss my Atlantis though (650A/VT).

Say, that is weird...

I would undoubtedly shift to the bridge pickups every time I played that one!

Good eye, yetto. You noticed half of it. There's something else... and, by the location of your 1st guess, you're quite warm.

We have a WINNAH!!!

...two, actually.

Yes, yetto... I was hinting at the way the volume and tone knobs were configured. I believe the configuration shown on the Atlantis is the old one that was replaced by the ones shown on the other 650 models. I would imagine the old configuration wasn't around very long, as I've only seen it on this Atlantis and an old Excalibur image that was on the RIC site many moons ago.

But bonus points for you, camel. I never paid much attention to the additional mounting screws. Good eye!

Then again, I always got a bit "glassy-eyed" when folks were having fits over slot-head vs. philips-head screws... must be a leftover sentiment on my part.

Great!
Do I get a new 650?
Ten year supply of strings?
Ten year supply of fuel?

I can't wait!
