Quote: Real nice guitar but for me that's not a real 1997 re-issue cos the originals always came with an Accent vibrato unit. Where did you get this information? I have a 1997SPC that I bought new and it had a trapeze tail piece.

GHenson60s...rickygitarre is making a reference to the originals, meaning Rose,Morris export model 1997 guitars available from 1964 to 1966, issued with the Accent vibrato.

More sustain with a Trapeze? I doubt it.
I think so, because the Ac'cent is basically a large spring, which absorbs vibrations from the strings. It's more noticeable when comparing it directly with a Rick with an "R" tailpiece.

I just re-read my own quote, and decided that I'm probably coming on a little too strong here. The difference in sustain is subtle; you would literally need a Rick with an Ac'cent and one without to tell the difference. Just to set the record straight, I like both the Ac'cent and the R tailpiece, along with the Bigsby, too. I'm thinking of putting the Ac'cent on my 620--I think the solid body would help with the little bit of sustain absorbed by the vibrato.

Did you pay for it yet?? 3G's, that's a lot of money, even for a great Rick.
