Goof- If, at 15, you save up and spend a thousand bucks on a Rick bass of your own, my hat's off to you! Good luck on your quest. You won't be sorry! -Dr.Phil

I echo Dr. Phil's sentiments - whatever it takes to save up, do it. You will not be sorry and have a great sounding quality instrument that will last a lifetime.

Then you get to start saving for a great amp!! :D

but I have a few questions about the instrument before I invest time in trying to find a place where I can try one out.

Find a place where you can play a 4001 and a 4003 and most, if not all, of your questions will be answered. The sooner you get your Rickenbacker, the better!
