I just put the thomastik flatwound strings on my c64s and they are amazingly low tension. Very easy to play.
I recorded a bit with them and I must say that they are very even soundwise from string to string. Very clear as well, I am thinking some of the pingy-ness will go away the more I play them.

The TI's are the most comfortable flats I have played. As far as tension, they are about the flat equivalent of the Ric rounds. The low tension is a dream, very soft and smooth. The tone is great, too.

Yep, they're the only ones that work on my 4005. (I've got them on 3 of my 5 basses.) Probably the best strings I've ever played...

Hmmm, they are feeling and sounding good, but when I play a 8th fret C on the E string the string behind my finger vibrates.
I am guessing the string has too much play in the nut?

The long scale TI jazz flats JF344 just come in one guage.

They are lovely strings. I have some that must be close to five years old and still sound gorgeous. I put a set on my 4001 the day I got her home.
