Just picked up my Ampeg 8x10 today and plug it into my SVT head and then plug my 4003 into and I have to to tell that is a match made in HEAVEN.
Rickenbacker 4003 basses sound incredible with Ampeg SVT heads and 8x10 cab, I highly recommend this setup.
I think I'm going to need to work out though, my back was feeling a little strange after moving the cabinet around today, but it was wourth it, the sound was AWESOME.

I used to swear by 2-15" cabs, and really liked the JBL E-140's and the EVM 15B's.

Then I bought an Ampeg BSE-410-HLF. The quick response and punch, without sacraficing low end made a 4 x 10 convert out of me.

However, I have been wanting to try the Avatar 2-12 cab.

While on the subject, other than weight, what is all the talk about "NEO" speakers?? Are they better?? Handle more power??? Different sounding???

Anyone???

I have an Avatar Neo B212. It weighs only 56 pounds. The Avatar Delta B212 weighs 75 pounds, which is not too heavy either. The Neo is rated at 600 watts RMS, the Delta is rated at 1000 watts. The Neo cab costs a little more. Supposedly the Neo speakers have a little more mids, where as the Deltas have a slightly lower frequency range. I've been using that Neo cab since November with my 4, 5 and 12 string basses and they all sound great through it. I have only good things to say about that cabinet.
