I screwed them off and now cant remeber how they should sit!

should it be:
Treble tone Bass tone
Treble Vol Bass vol

This is kind of a perspective thing...it all depends on how you are looking at it. But, if you are looking straight at the front of the bass, and the neck is pointing up: O-bass tone O-bass volume O-treble tone O-treble volume

The knobs closest to the strings are the tone controls, and they are in the relative position to the pickups they adjust.

Regarding 4000 series knobs, which way should the line point when turned all the way up or down?? Any input will help. Thanks, Todd

There is no standard given that the knobs made be screwed on at any point of rotation. Adjust 'em as you wish!

Thanks JH, I will start a new law to point the knobs the direction I say......or not...You know, off will, from this day forward,be at 8 o'clock and full up will be 4 o'clock! That's looking down while playing!! Everybody got that?!!....anybody??...anyone?.....Beuller??anyone???
