Ouestion to Mr Hall and/or the Ricstaff
1) As I understood it the Walnutbasses since a year back belong to the standardproduction of basses. Do you produce about the same amount as the other coloroptions or maybe less? The Walnut seems a bit hard to get here in Europe.
2) Will the 4003s also belong to the standard or are they only temporary?
3) Is it maybe possible to know when the ´s´ will start shipping to Europe?

Thanx a lot in advance if somebody knows the answers
Micky

Right now Walnut basses are our fourth best selling color, after Jetglo black, Fireglo red nad Maple. However, we're building quite a few right now and there's a fair number of these going to Europe.

The 4003S is a standard, ongoing production model and shipments to Europe should begin later in the month, on into May.

Dear Mr Hall

Thank you for your answer. Can¨t wait to get my hands on a 4003s Walnut. Did I understand it right that the 4003sW comes in oilfinish in comparison with the 4003W that comes in glossy finish?
And does that apply to the other ´s´ basses too?

Much Regards
Micky

Ps. Saw some pix of a Cheyenne in all walnut except for the trough-body neck on the internet. A true beauty! Hope you´ll make that one again some day.

All "W" models have non-glossy oil finishes. The 4003S (without the W) models are gloss finishes.

Thanks a lot for your answers Mr Hall.
Sorry, was in a bit of a rush that day. I meant the guitars 330/60 of course and not the other basses. But Ok. They all come in oil-finish. Sounds nice. I like!
And it would be really nice to get a Cheyenne as W as well. I hope the advert I found wasn´t "color of the year", that is, a "once in a lifetime". Looks really smart in all walnut with the mapleneck running through it and gold hardware.

Thanks again
Cheers
Micky

Put me down for a walnut Cheyenne, too! That'd be a beauty! I was disappointed that wasn't one of the instruments to be issued in a walnut edition.

Micky, if I may butt in: The walnut Cheyenne you saw in a photo was the original version of the 4004C, made pretty much in the same wood construction as the current 4003W and 4003SW. The 4004C was produced from 1992 to 1999 when the model morphed into what is now the 4004Cii "Cheyenne II." More about all these models in the book that is out there.

Thanks Paul

I´ll go for the 4003SW then and maybe later on check out for a Cheyenne 2. It still has the Humbuckers which could be worth trying out and I like the goldhardware.

Cheers
Micky

The HB-1 pickups sound fabulous, do try a 4004 of some variety. 8-)
