Here is a question I am wondering about...
I just bought a used 1975 4001 a week ago...
I am totally blown away by it...
I am doing some things to get it fixed up, such as getting rid of the Seymour Duncan neck pick-up for a real Rick toaster pick-up... I also had to fix the strap button holes..
The stereo jack plate looks horrible... All the chrome has been pitted and it looks rough and nasty...you can still make out the code for year OA and the serial number...
My question is can I get a new jack plate????
Can I turn in my old jack-plate to Rick and then pay for a new one where they would just make a new one with the same serial number???

As I understand it, you get a new plate but not with your serial number, but a generic one. Search, as it has been explained before.
