Just purchased my latest Ric a very nice Mapleglo 2015, not a finish i would usually go for as Jetglo Rocks !!!! but i had a good vibe about this one, purchased from Nick's guitars in the UK.
kind of hard to see in the pics but the body is covered in little flecks of birds eye maple back and front a lovely piece of maple, sound wise it is outstanding probably one of the best sounding E strings i have had on a Ric and i have had a few lol,
build quality is top notch, zero issues, the only thing i have noticed about the newer rics 2014/2015 is who ever is cutting the nut's at the factory could do with cutting them a bit wider i was struggling to fit a set 0f 45-105's had to file the nut !!!
that is my only gripe otherwise it is a stunning sounding bass.

Congrats on the new bass. Just remember - you can always widen a narrow nut slot. It is rather difficult to narrow one that is too wide. ;)

You must have been captivated by the maple grain on that one! I know I'd be. Very nice!
