My new 4003 Noir.
My thanks to the fine folks at Wildwood guitars for getting it to me quickly & safely, and my thanks to the amazing craftsmen at Ric for building such a wonderful sounding, great playing & fantastic looking bass.

Cool bass! Did they customize it for you?

Not customized, but one of a limited edition.
It is similar to the old Shadow model with its checkered binding, but the Noir has flat black finish & trim, and an unfinished macassar ebony fretboard.

It is very cool (and very much appreciated) to see Ric making some new special models and limited editions.
They are making a special edition Orangeglo with checkered binding 4003 for Willcutt Guitars, and that model is beautiful.

Oh, I see. That's really an eye-catching design. I wish I could hold one of those as well.

I like that Ben is trying out different wood species in these builds. 8-)

Those noir really look great. I watched a video on a 330. Wow. Never seen one for real. RICs special editions are high on the wow meter. I have only seen pictures and vids, though. One was a Skyglo 1993 plus. Wow. I also liked the cream colored 360 WB.
