 Post subject: how do you check value?

how do you check the value of a rickenbacker? i just got a 1980 4003 Autumnglow in great condition, what would it be worth? thanks! :) i'm excited!

A guitar or bass is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it.

Seriously though, An '80 4001 in Autumglo in nice shape should fetch $1000.00 to $1500.00., maybe more. Other things factor in also. Black trim, Vintage pickups ect....

whadda bout a 1979 4002 "oh that birdseye" lol,.....in excellent condition, all completely original including the case ?????......i only have it insured for $1500........but i'm thinkin it may be worth a few dollars more

thanks! i'm trading my custom Geddy Lee Jazz w/Dimarzio model Js and 475-500 dollars, so that would be about $1100 sounds fair to me.

pickups and everything are original, except he added strap locks. 2 piece pickguard, but no pickup cover.

I would think that one of those would be worth significantly more than $1500. After all, how many are there? The price for such instruments is only going up.

I have mine insured for $5000.00 USD. That may be light too. Where will you ever find another?
