On a serious note. I just can't fault my 4005. Recently bought a 2030 as a possible replacement but NOTHING CAN REPLACE IT! (so that's going on E Bay!!!). I love my bass...

I have a 67 4005 Fireglo "GB###", love it. I still play it out all the time.

Anybody own GE 2451? Thumb wear on front? Finish wear on back around the neck? That one used to be mine. I'd love to have that back again.

Another person anxiously awaiting a reissue :)

Right now, I own a '65 4005 that was refinned/restored by RIC in Blue Boy. A stunner. I have owned a '68 4005 BG and a '67 4005 WB MG. Cool basses. Wish that I had kept the other two. :-(
What did that end up costing you? (I think I saw some of the pics of your restoration on the net and I was fairly impressed.)

Small potential market, high cost to produce.
