When practicing, do you play sitting or do you play standing? Thanks.

I practice sitting usually , for scales and charts and stuff. When I play along with songs I usually stand. I wear my bass unusually high; I adjust my strap so short that the bass is about over my stomach, almost to my chest, so playing it while its sitting on my lap is not uncomfortable.

I play sitting down when recording on my home studio or just practicing. I get better access to the upper frets that way.

At band rehearsal or recording at my drummer friend's real studio, I play standing up.

I wear my bass a little higher than a I used to (right now, my belt buckle is behind the lower third of the instrument) so I can play better standing. Wearing a low-slung guitar looks rock'n roll, but it hampers the fretting hand's movement.

Usually sitting down. Only play it standing up live.
