Welcome to the "RIC Restoration, from Part to Finish" forum. This is the appropriate forum to discuss repair, restoration, and refinishing of instruments that are beyond the purview of the factory warranty. This forum is moderated by Paul Wilczynski (jingle_jangle) and Dale Fortune (DaleFortune), who have volunteered to share their point of view as independent, experienced RIC luthiers.

Does this mean possibly Rickenbacker will be doing a restoration of instruments Dept. or just as far as forum is considered.

The key word in the welcome message is "Independent." Dale and Paul are not Rickenbacker employees, and their involvement is on a discussion basis only. The RIC factory only performs warranty repair work, and the existence of this forum is not intended to hint at any future deviation from this policy.

fish, I think it intends to be a sub category of the forum where you can ask Paul Wilczynski and Dale Fortune questions relating to repairs and refinishing.

This should be a very cool add to the forum.

Sounds like a great idea.

I've been finishing/refinishing guitars for years, and I've always used automotive type finishes. It'll be great to hear what others are doing as well

Yay! Brand new forum! It's all shiny and new and immaculate...

Anyway, this will be a good addition, I think.

How's it going on your project Sartori. Do you have any questions on my last email?
