I have a 1974/5 4001 that is missing a screw. i have been searching for a replacement for years and years but have never found one.
The part in question is one of the stumpy screws that seem to hold the key wind in place. however the keywind has stayed put despite this being missing.
can anyone help me identify the part number and its availability?
ive been told its an old imperial guague screw and no longer available.
any help appreciated...

Above - Boutique - Miscellaneous. Compare what is there to another screw you have.

Rather than holding the keywind in place, are you referring to the big one that holds the gear in place? I do have some of these if that's the one you really mean.

While we're on the subject, how can I get screws for the bridge-mute of a 4005 bass? I'd like the package to be functional, even though I have no current intention of using the mute....might be the same screws as with my '84 610/12...looks like the same sort of "cover".
Thanks, LoZ
