As many of you all know, I'm a Rick specialist. I've uploaded my first video in a series, showing topics on guitar building and painting. The production values aren't Spielberg, but the information's there, and you can even hear me over the spray booth fan! This first one covers a lot of basic ground, and ends up with me applying an amber tint to a Rickenbacker acoustic body, prior to painting it in a five-color burst. The burst and clearcoat videos are already in the can, and will be posted one at a time. We'll also talk about materials, spray guns and compressors, and lots of tricks of the trade. Subscribed and friended! Great job, Paul! Every teacher should explain their subject as well as you do. I will be patient as you learn your video editing program!

Great to see this new series "burst" on the scene and watch the artist in action.

Six days later, there are now 5 videos up on the same project. Lots more set for the future. Next will be a few minutes on paint chemistry and mixing, and then some stuff on spray gun setup. I'm going to be doing a green burst this weekend, although it won't be uploaded for another weeks or so.
There are so many topics that apply to guitars in general and Rickenbackers in particular, that this is going to be fun for me and a "must-see" for many of you!

It's really cool to see the process. Also, that guitar is shaping up to be very nice looking.
