Great result and well done! Thanks for the post and pictures. You got the mirror finish, you can see yourself and all the hard work in there now!

Hey thanks guys for the compliments. For a first time I'm very pleased.
It was really hard work but well worth it in the end.
The company I bought the nitro paint and gloss would like to use some of my pictures for their website to showcase just what their products can achieve.

I'm well chuffed with that.

Cheers

This sold on Ebay the other week... For 50 pounds more then what he paid for it...

50 quid is cheap for such a fine refinish job... lol

Yes it did, but unfortunately I have had to cancel the sale, as I gave it one final buff and noticed a problem with the back of the guitar, where the finish was looking a bit weak.

As a result I will be spraying some more clear over the back to ensure enough coverage. The guitar is stripped of it's hardware and ready to have another few coats, before sanding and buffing again.

More pics of the (finally) completed guitar to follow. I won't be selling it this time around (well not unless someone offers me a 330) as I have spent just too much hard work (not to mention money on paint/lacquer/materials etc etc).

Cheers

I did not mean to make light of your work... Very impressive. Or your unfortunate seller in Portugal that destroyed the guitar's original finish..

I have had my JG 610 since the mid 90s and I would never part with it myself... It was originally JG with Black Trim.. I modified it with the White TRC and Pick-guard, but other then that it is exactly as I bought it...

Enjoy playing your 610!

No worries Sir, I didn't take it the wrong way. Thanks for your kind words.
I am going to get it valued by some experts here in London before I think about reselling it again.

A lot of hard word to sell for a £50 profit seems silly (bearing in mind the paint and other materials have cost me around £300!!!).

Cheers

Thanks Jingle Jangle, coming from an expert like your good self I take that as a huge compliment. Thanks for your post too on my you tube post re the 'blushing issue' I had when I first set out on this project.

Cheers
Scott
