Welcome to the Rickenbacker forums! That's a beautiful guitar, you have done a great restoration job, it looks very impressive and you certainly got a good result. |

Looks great! Isn't that technically a different model than a 360, because of the "F" hole (something like a 1997)? |

What are the three numbers on the other side of the jackplate... That will tell you what country it was sent to... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (if you had access to the invoices at RIC - that is)... ![]() |

I've seen almost no rounded top 360s with the f-hole that were shipped anywhere but Italy, and all in 1967. Most had plugs in the 12-string headstock channels to convert to 6-strings. Not sure if this was done by Rickenbacker or the distributor in Italy.. (if you had access to the invoices at RIC - that is)... ![]() |

I think it's just called a 360, since it has binding, fret inlays, and the rounded body shape. The Rose, Morris Model 1997 export had the old style body, no binding, and dot inlays on the fretboard. I've seen pictures of Pete Townshend playing an old-style Rick 360 with an f-hole. In fact I suspect it might be the first guitar he smashed after accidentally sticking the head through the ceiling of the Marquee Club. He used it on "I Can't Explain," I believe. |
