So, I purchased a 1976 Rickenbacker 4001 used from a guy in 1982. Why? Because I was 17 and a HUGE Rush fan! I loved it! Some minor problems but it was great.
In March of 1986, I bought a brand new Fender Jazz Bass Special. It quickly became my main bass. The guitar player in my band was interested in refinishing my Rick. Since I really wasn't playing it much and being young, I said sure. Needless to say, my Rick turned into an 1980's horror show!

Fast forward 26 years. My Fender was still my main bass, but I always had regret over the condition of my Rick and that it just sat in a closet, untouched! So, living in NJ I was fortunate enough to find a store in Lindenwold called "Pick of the Ricks". I wanted them to restore my Rick to it's original glory.
