Gromment anecdotes here remind me of the movie "Mommy Dearest" with the Joan Crawford character (played to a very well by actress Faye Dunaway) going postal whith the infamous "NO WIRE COAT HANGERS!"

And that instant psycho shtick could be ANY ONE of us erupting over a potential bogus gromment deal that may loom ahead from some future possible encounter with a sleazy pawed uninformed "gromment installer!"

heh!-heh! hee!

There is nothing like a heavy sniff from the f-hole of a good vintage Rickenbacker...a good infusion of vintage fumes never hurt anybody!!!

When I brought John Williams's '59 315 back to him from Virginia, I made sure I got a GOOD huff of that guitar before I gave it back, LOL...possibly my favorite Rickenbacker of all time...
