Looking for Rickenbacker experienced luthier to give paid estimate of restoration which would be applied to subsequent work on instrument by estimator

-I'm the original owner but don't have the receipt. Can tell where purchased.
-An adjustable 6 string bridge was installed converting it (nut and bridge) into a 6 string (have original pegs)
-All pick guards, scuff plates, electronics and tailpiece original and in poor/fair condition
-All bindings secure
-Finish mildewed, crazed and/or off (belt buckle and fretboard area spots)
-Frets in fair condition but never could get the intonation really right
-Neck very good although neck adjustment (Rickenbacker) plate defaced

I live in Florence, Oregon and going to Portland area 8/23/06. Also going to Monterey, CA 10/6/06

Best regards and respect to all Ric people!

Danny Douma

Danny, you're in luck. Expert Rick restorer Dale Fortune is in Oregon as well. You should contact either him, or forum member "jinglejangle" (Paul W.) to do the work. As you can see by looking at past threads in this section of the forum, both are brilliant at what they do.

Danny... I will be in So. Cal. For Rick 75th anniversary party that will be going on from 8-25 thru 8-27. You live in Florence.... the South Jetty is 1 Awesome Surf Spot..
as for your guitar, I can do most anything you will need.. Call me at (503) 629-9812 evenings I have no phone in the shop... get more work done that way...
And welcome to the Rickenbacker Forum... your 1st post is a very good one... I am leaving the evening of the 24th.. so if you can contact me when you are in Portland on the 23rd, I could look at your instrument and give you an estimate for the restoration work..... My backround experience starts at the Rickenbacker factory in the early 70's and continues on thru the present.. much experience here.....thanks Dale
