Post subject:  Pickup Screws

Hello all.

I recently posted this in the just basses forum but im now posting it here so you restoration experts can have a look and hopefully will give me some adcice. I did say on this post that the screw im having trouble with is the two mounting screws in the treble pickup. I meant to say the bass/neck pickup.

Thanks

I know its only a tiny rusty screw but I really want to get some new ones in. I'll be gigging the bass soon and I want my bass looking its best.

I looked on all the parts diagrams under the service tab and also the ones I had downloaded and I do not see the threaded screw that mounts/adjusts the bass neck pickup. Maybe someone from RIC can help, or just call Customer Service.

The screws are 4-40 X 5/8 round headed machine screws in chrome plated steel.

As a matter of course, I've started replacing all of these in my bass restorations, with polished 18-8 stainless steel items.

You can find these screws at McMaster-Carr. www.mcmaster.com
