Hey guys. I've started to notice a couple of dings in my 2004 4003 Blueboy and I was just wondering if there was a good way to touch those up. (I know they're supposed to add character, mojo, etc. to the instrument, but...)

Nail polish has been suggested. You have to have a good eye for color, though, and it's a multi-step process to do correctly. A search of the forum on "nail polish" could turn up more info on this.

Hobby shop for blue and white small bottles of lacquer or fingernail polish. You will have to mix them to exact color, then brush on. then coat with clear. Lightly sand the clear with 1000/1500/2000 grit paper that is wetted. when done polish out with Scratch X.these things are available at Auto Supply stores

If you use hobby paints like Pactra, Humbrol, or Testor's, be aware that they are enamel, and often if you coat them with lacquer clear like nail polish, there is a chance that the enamel will wrinkle or lift, as lacquer over enamel is generally a no-no.
