Hi all, I'm new here, and just posted on the guitars only forum. But want to say hello and how much I appreciate this forum. I have a '97 360/12 and a brand new 350V63. Sorry to be redundant.
Jim

Hello Jim. In time you will discover that everybody here is redundant, except me of course :-))

Does that mean this is headed for the Deja Vu section where it can be monitored by the department of superfluous redundancies department

Howdy Jim, nice pair you got. See, one's never quite enough, but when to stop? Happy Rick'n.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome. And speaking of the department of redundancy department, how many of you 12 string players drop your tuning a 1/2 step? I keep my 360 tuned that way and it just seems to play so much easier with less tension on the strings. I capo up if I need to play along with bandmates in standard tuning. I've been digging my new 350V63 for a couple of weeks now and its really starting to warm up to me as its owner. I'm not completely sold on the light bottom strings, however. The bass strings sound a little gutless when I do a solo run to the bottom, but it feels well balanced for chord work and playing rhythm with vocals. Most of my six string guitars have straight 10 - 46 gauge strings on them with the exception of my Gretsch Tennessean that has 13 - 52s on it.
Cheers, Jim

Technically, we can post just about everything under deja vu... welcome to the club. Now, what do YOU think the "c" in the c-series stands for? ;-)

"Capo"? which is the same as "Cheating"?

come on, tune that 12 to A=440, they were designed to handle it. (don't try THAT on a Gibson or Fender).
