Hi,

I found this auction on german eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Rickenbacker-Liverpo ... dZViewItem

The seller says that it's a John Lennon-Modell. The tailpiece is not original and the saddle-cover is missing. But what concerns me a little bit is the missing fifth knob. As far as I know John Lennon owned 3 Rickenbacker 325, A 6-string with for knobs from 1958, a 6-string and a 12-string with five knobs from 1964.
This guitar looks like a 1964-guitar (because of the saddle) with four knobs.

This is a model 320B. The guitar dates to July, 1983 - Right in the middel of the B series. B series guitars (B stands for 'Beatles' were a first attempt to recreate the classic Rickenbackers the Fab Four made famous. they are not as accurate reproductions as the later V series and C series. Here's a little info on the 320B:

There's also a thread on this forum about the B series here:

Isn't the normal scale of the Rickenbackers 24 3/4? Are these Beatle guitars smaller than that?

You are correct on the scale length of full size Ricks. The 325, 1996 and other 3/4 scale guitars are a full four inches shorter.
