The approximate wait time for a Wayne Henderson guitar ...

http://www.waynehenderson.org/Wayne/AboutWayne.htm

... is about TEN YEARS!

Hope that makes you feel a little better.

That is so extreme it sounds like satire - by the time you get your axe, you have gone through a marriage or two, had kids, seen several presidential elections and probably no longer want or need the darn thing!

I guess this means business is really booming for Wayne, or he is an aweful time manager....

Wayne's apparently a BUSY GUY... its not like he sits around building guitars 40 hours a week! :-)

It's really sadly ironic when a business is doing so well that it can't keep up with all the business somehow it's made out that there's a financial problem.

Howdy,

I actually see it the opposite way. When a company is doing so well that it cannot keep up with the backlog, they are doing something right. I see it as financially sound, a great product, and most of all a want/need for the product. In other words, just keep on keepin'on.

Steve
That's pretty much what he said :-)
Besides, I guess I just have access to a great dealer. I walked in and bought both my Ricks right off the shelf. Well,a great dealer and good timing I suppose ;-)

As I've said before, for me personally, I'm not waiting a year or two for an instrument.
As someone put it to me once - "the 'jones' is way gone by that time."

(He used a different word. Slang term for male arousal.)

I'd either buy whatever a dealer had or would go the eBay route. Again, that's just me.

And yes, Wayne is a VERY busy man. And reportedly makes one of the finest sounding guitars of any luthier in the world.

Theres a new 360 and a new 340 currently at a dealer near me, and they've been sitting there for the past two years.

I guess that would make them slightly "not so new". I wonder if the warranty still applies to them as they must have left the factory at least some 2.5 years ago?

The RIC Warranty begins upon the date of manufacture as indicated on the warranty card.

Maybe he needs a couple of those CNC machines to help him catch up!
