Hi every Rick lover, I'm a newby, and the pride owner of 3 rickenbacker guits. In these days I have the chance to buy a vintage 1979 Rickenbacker TR75 amp. Please can anyone tell me something more about it? I think it's a good business for me, it's USA built of course. It has distortion and reverb effects. It sports two 12" cones... and it just looks great! Price is 350 euros, as I'm from Italy. thanks in advance Fran |

Here are some features of the Rickenbacker TR75GT Amplifier listed in the "Solid State Amplifier Series" catalog: dual instrument input jacks, plus individual volume, wide range bass, midrange, and treble controls. Presence, reverb, and distortion are also featured. 75 Watts RMS approximate power at 4 ohms. |

I'm still trying to get an Owner's Manual for mine. . . or a copy of one. If anyone can help, contact me via my profile. :) |

+2 on the manual. Or at least and explanation on some things. The back of my amp does not have the Preamp #1 and #2 jacks that I've seen in pictures of other people's amps, instead mine has 1 external speaker jack, 1 footswitch jack, and 1 "effects in/out" jack. I'm not sure how the effects in/out jack works! |

As I recall, the separate preamp jacks were only on the TR75GT and TR100GT. The effects jack is a stereo plug and you need a so-called "insert" cable to use it. Here's some examples: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/IPBQ2Q5/ http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/STP203/ http://www.fullcompass.com/category/Ins ... ables.html Many companies offer these in all price ranges or you can make your own. The main difference is quality of shielding (you don't want an unshielded headphone cable) and of course you can use the same type of cable with the Rick-O-Sound feature on the instruments. |
