I have recently acquired a bass amp with the "Road" logo on the front. On the actual amp casing, it says, "Rickenbacker". The model is something 35. The knobs and jacks are top-mounted (vol., bass, middle, treble, 2 input, 1 send, 1 recieve), and it has one 15" speaker. I haven't been able to find out anything about it on the internet. Can anyone tell me anything about it? age? output? etc.

Rob

If it's a Road bass amp by RIC, there should be a serial number on the back of the amp that you can put into the serial number decoder in the Service tab at the top of the page.
I'm assuming it's like the TR35B with 35 watts of output power. Not very powerful, but great tone. Do you have any pictures?

I recall Road amplifiers being manufactured in the 1980's with several different bass models with a 15" speaker.

So I wonder if rcfllrtn found out his information from the serial number? I ran into a Road amp 'without' Rickenbacker on it from the 1970's. I did restore it and sold it for 140. It was a guitar amp, just a single 12 inch combo. I never found out the output but it was a sweet sounding amp. The story goes when Bud Ross folded up Kustom he regrouped with a music Company out in L.A. and they formed Road for just a year or so. For an even shorter time I have heard from gossip I do not know how truthful they mixed it up with Rickenbacker also and that is on the cabinet Road and Ric.
