Were they for guitar or bass. Or were there models for both?

There were both guitar and bass amp heads but quite a few more guitar oriented speaker bottoms in the line. One bass bottom had four 15" JBL speakers and the grandaddy of them thad a single 30" Electrovoice driver.

I played through a Transonic TR-145 4x15" cab with an SVT head once, and the hair blew back off my head like in the old Maxell commercial.

Will rickenbacker ever make amps again? Since I have never seen one or heard one. It might be nice to own a new rickenbacker amp.

I foolishly passed up a big Transonic back in the mid-70's. It had the styling reminiscent of a Vox Super-Beatle , with a trapezoid shaped head and cab. Sort of a giant keystone shape. It was in a nice chrome stand and it could be tilted back. I recall seeing pictures of Jimmy Page with a pair of them in early Led Zeppelin photos. Excuse my ignorance, but what model would this be? I would love to find one.
