I just saw a thread on rickresource that said all future 4003 basses would have walnut headstock wings!

Is this true?!?

Yep, I have the feeling 4003 MG's are going to go through the roof. I am certainly considering one.

What does this mean "in future"? Does that mean all 4003's now being shipped to dealers will have the walnut wings?

The reason I'm asking is I am planning on ordering a 4003 from Music123 and they say they are expecting delivery of 4003FG's in January but the MG's won't arrive until June. If the MG's look as fantastic as I think they would with the walnut wings, I might just wait the extra time and order a MG instead of the FG.

Yes, it is true. As of October of last year all 4003's should have the walnut wings.
There are a few available and for sale right now.
One is at Guitarville, in Seattle, and the other is at Eddie's in Indiana I think.
Good luck Pinto.

It's the little things that make a big difference! Like checker binding.
