what the diffrece on a -79 compare to a -74??? witch one is more expencive?? witch one do you rekomend the -74 has no mic cover & no orginal hardcase -79 is complitly orginal including hardcase -74 ca:1500usd -79 he wants a price from me (i´ve no clue what to give him)

they are almost identical ... except for the neck pickup location ...

With the neck pickup in different places, play them both and see which tone you like. With the -79, offer a fair low price and he can say no if he wants more. Then negotiate.

Hey Uvg, I trust the '74 4001 pics I sent you yesterday helped in some measure. I'd chose the '74 over the '79. Too bad the asking price for the '74 is sort of steep though.

I like the 74's. Grover tuners and the red dot necks are neat.

the 74 that I used to own had no grovers ... also the grover fall apart a lot ... I owned a 73, 74, and a 79 and I worked on several mid 70s basses they were all good basses ... and my 74 had no red dots either ... my 73 and 74 were basically identical ...
