Quote: copious amounts of pure Mayan CHOCOLATE. [...] surrounded by GOLDEN finery, and sipped pure liquid chocolate. This would be the right adjectives to describe this wonderful "color"! The "blueboys"... that would make sense! Thanks for the requests!

Adj. 1. jet-black - of the blackest black; similar to the color of jet or coal, coal-black, jet, pitchy, sooty achromatic - having no hue
I always thought "jet black" to mean the color of JET... a hard black semiprecious stone. I know my wife has some really pretty jet necklaces and earrings. They are deep black and very shiny... just like my 320JG!

From the RIC history department, three Rickenbacker guitars have the name "Hamburg." The most recent is the 325V59 "Hamburg" seen in the 1997 catalog. There is also a 220 "Hamburg" double pickup 6 string and a 2020 "Hamburg" bass pictured in the 1995 catalog.
The name "Hamburg" is the same, but you'll also need the model number to correctly identify these guitars.

My favourite name for one of the Ricky's was Excalibur. I think it was a 650, if I'm not mistaken. I remember seeing the prototype at Guitar Gallery (which later became Route 66 years later) in Pasadena about a billion years ago. That's also when I first met John Hall when I was just 15 or 16 years old.

I was just thinking, whatever happened to the 200 series? I remember I used to have a copy of the Rickenbacker catalog in the mid 1990s and it had the 200 series, which apparantly doesn't exist anymore. Back then I was going to save up for a 200 series axe just so I could HAVE a Ric before I could afford the 300 series models I want...it never happened, and now that I have a 360 (the first of a few Rics I plan on owning!) it's a moot point...still, just wondering!
