I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but do yourself a favor and buy a new wiring harness from the boutique, and perform your .0047 surgery on it.
Keep the original harness aside in case you screw up or have to provide a guitar whose pot numbers will match the original build date unmolested.

Good call Rob! Thanks! I will do that or build my own wiring harness! Since this is a doubleneck guitar I may have to build the harness; I do not think the boutique will have a wiring harness for a 4080. I hate molested guitars! This guitar is here to stay, but I want to retain its value and still make it a player instrument too.

iiipopes, I'd appreciate a copy of the diagram for a 3-pickup/5-knob 320, when you have a chance to send it. Many thanks, Howard hmhess1@yahoo.com

Hey justlearning -- done!
Hey OldWorldMan - did I ever send you the 360 mod diagram? I can't find in my emails where I sent it to you. If I overlooked it, please let me know so I can send it out ASAP. Thanks.

me as well iiipopes...I'm have a 370 VP MG that I just got. I wired in the push/pull pot to remove the middle pickup from neck pickup (works great), and am interested in seeing how you wire in the inline cap. many thanks. jimivalve@yahoo.com

iiipopes mod is fantastic, it really opens up the guitar. It's like I have a new guitar, the sounds are so versatile now. Not that it was boring to play before, but now it can get so many different tones its nuts. Thanks Scott for the mod, I recommend this mod to anyone who wants more out of their Ric.
