I don't know if there are any other Butch Walker/Marvelous 3 fans around here, but even if you don't know Butch or his earlier band, The Marvelous 3, you may enjoy this video with him playing an old style Rick 360 6 string. Give it a try, if you like it, I would encourage people to listen to some of his other stuff. Marvelous 3 was really good power pop and straight ahead rock, his solo stuff is a little more accoustic at times. In case I don't post the link correctly, search youtube for "Butch Walker Maybe It's Just Me", also feel free to let me know what you think.

Glad you liked it. He has a ton of great music out there, but for some reason he just never caught on as an artist. I know he has done very well producing other artists and has written some hit songs, some made the top ten on the charts for other performers, but I think he gets over looked as a performer. He is probably my all time favorite.

Hi There Hollowman, This guy has serious talent, he has a good voice and plays well
and plays that stunning guitar. Wow doesn't that Ric look and sound great.
Notice he get that low volume acoustic tone to that guitar, I like that, perfect for Pop

But this guy has a lot of musicality some was acquired and some is natural, notice he moves a lot, he has a physically to his playing and singing, he is able to express music and himself very comfortably. I'm not talking about doing the jump split or any crazy antics like an act on stage,,,but just a natural physicality to feel of music

It only comes into affect if you have been a musician and studied for some time. It not an act or dance It is a musical posture, it is a expression of oneself and sound and rhythm
This guy has studied guitar music and voice no doubt, and he can apply his studies and craft in an articulate way The fact that he writes and produces for other says a lot.
His voice is very good in the upper register, perfect for Pop or lighter Rock.
The genre of music is not my cup of tea in general, but this guy is very good and worth a look for sure

I can see why you appreciate him, I have only heard the one song but it's enough for me to hear and recognise a talent.

I have noticed one of my favorite guitar players Jimi Page, goes into a trance when he used to be up on stage. His posturing and moments were like a yogic Mudra, if you know what that is. But he is a guitar Guru, that's all part of it if you are musically enlightened ( he did take a few mind altering substances to kick it along) I suppose
