I don't know if this will be allowed as I suppose I'm recommending something that isn't directly related to Rickenbacker but it has certainly enhanced my enjoyment when playing my 330/6 so here goes..........I play a lot of stuff that requires a Capo and have been frustrated since having my Ric, as the capo, (a spring glider trigger one) has been throwing it out of tune...(only with the Capo on)...This happened with ALL my guitars, electric and acoustic....... I placed the tuner on the guitars headstocks and noticed, as well as hearing, that the notes went up to the sharp, some strings more than others.
However, after reading about the G7th Performance Capo, I decided to give it a go and it is fantastic, it really is. I can easily place this Capo on any fret and it stays completely in tune. It is more expensive than most, I paid £24 - $37, but worth every penny. I would have gladly paid double this.
So if anyone else gets frustrated with the Capo throwing the guitar out of tune, I would definitely recommend this capo

Just interested to know if your first capo was a Kyser or not; I've had no problem with those in the past and always keep one handy in the studio.

It's called a Hudson GCB1 Glider Trigger Capo..I had a couple of these and had the same results on all my guitars. I think this one is only sold in the U.K.
It's very similar to the Kyser, at least in the way it looks.

Well, my question is: Why would you prefer this over a Kyser? Is there any specific reason you bought it over a Kyser?

I enjoy Kysers; professionals use them (Glen Campbell, for instance), they aren't expensive, and they last a long time. I have had ONE red Kyser that has lasted for several years. I have yet to feel it lose any of it's original grip.

Plus, in the words of Campbell's tech, if you lost one, you can easily, and cheaply, purchase another.

Great capo G7, Ive got one...............sooooo easy to use! Very ergonomic in design
Yes it is the best iMHO, expensive , worth it!

The benefit of the G7th over the Kyser is control of the pressure, you can set it to have just enough pressure to hold the strings down, which reduces the pitch change of the strings.

It replaced my Kyser.

I use an old Hamilton I've had for years, er, decades. I'm so used to it now, that even though there are those that are supposedly "better," I just stick to what works for me.

G7th for me too. Bought one when they first came out. Really like it.

Funny that was my attitude, but after I got my hands on one of the G7's my attitude changed, it went up 1/2 an octave
