Watching Roger McGuinn in a few days time.. (9 Nov)... I'm really excited but I've heard he doesn't play his Ric much these days, mainly his Martin 7 string. Have any UK fans seen him on this latest tour?? I'm not too concerned, just hearing and seeing him will be great but it would be nice to hear the 370 or the 360 (which I believe is his main touring Ric)

Great show, wasn't it. Really at his peak.I've posted before on another thread about the Ric.Apparantly, he prefers to travel abroad as light as possible so only brings his own Martin 7.He leaves it up to the venue (or promoter) to supply a Ric 12.Did you speak to Camilla on her 'lemonade stand' before the show? Just as charming and beautiful as ever.

Was Camilla at the back, the lady with the long black hair and glasses? I was lucky, I just sat down and two minutes later Roger came on. I was about to go to the bar and have a quick beer!! Would have been really disappointed to miss him coming on stage. Yeah, it was a great show. Loved the way he started playing behind the curtain before you could see him.

Yes, that was her.She chatted with us for quite awhile.Nice lady. Mcguinn used to do an autograph session after shows but hasn't done so lately.I have quite a few already so no great disappointment. The Live in Spain CD is worth getting. I'm from Newport.

I'm from the Rhondda so we are not too far away! I've also got autographs of Roger as well. My wife took a photo of me and him after the show at Ronnie Scotts (june 1997) and then when we watched him a week or so later in Sheffield he signed that photo which was really nice. Have you got a Ric........I've got a 330/6 mapleglo.

It is a small world!!! I liked Sid Griffin, thought he was very good...He played a song in Sheffield and got it completely wrong and had to stop playing....I liked him all the more after that as making mistakes is something I can identify with! It's great that you got a collection of Rics especially the RM370...I believe only a 1000 of them were made...I've actually never seen anyone in Wales play a Ric. It's normally Fender, Gibson and the usual suspects...The little that I've played with the Ric (got in August) I've noticed that people seem to either really love it or just don't know what to make of it It would be nice if there was a Ric conference or something in the U.K where Ric players could meet up with their Rics. We are a small but special minority I think
