I know this has been covered before but I can't find any substantial info on it....There are often Rics on ebay that have little chips/scratches on them. Is there any good touch up paint or spray to adequately cover these or is it next to impossible as the factory finishing, I would imagine, is quite a complex, expensive and highly skilled job.
I know some marks are worse than others but I'm generally talking about those little chips that can really detract, imo, from the look of the guitar. I use Brillianize polish to clean the Ric and that is excellent so I'm wondering if there is something similar, when it comes to this.

It has been suggested by some to use nail polish in a matching color, or to blend colors to match, for small dings.

I wonder if anyone has tried those guys that insurance companies use to touch up furniture dings from movers? Or perhaps an antiques store could direct you to a restoration artisan. 3M has some professional products that involve using a buffer system that would help with scratches in the just clear coat, but chips that go right to the wood is the problem.
