Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and would like to say Hi

Just got my first rickenbacker, a beautiful 1958 Combo 850

And thinking what are the top 10 most desirable vintage Rickenbackers?

Thanks

DG

Yep, what Paulie said!
On the bass guitar side, #1 collectible would be a 4002! For some, maybe a 4005 would be their #1 collectible bass guitar choice.

As stated in the Semi Official Forum Rules, please don't use the forum as a place to buy and sell instruments. I know you are just inquiring, but any buying, selling or trading of instruments should be done privately in PM's or emails.

That's something that will certainly vary from individual to individual. I, for one would would put various bass models at the top, while others would certainly put guitars at the top...

What I'm finding great about the forum is that by visiting often you can get a good idea of the idiosyncrasies of the various guitar models and determine which were and continue to be more desirable, and more importantly, why.

But getting back to your question, I'm sure a reply of factual data isn't contrary to rules and personally I didn't interpret your original post as a solicitation to purchase top tens, although it may be part of the due diligence of your search. I would do the same and will probably ask some direct questions regarding a model I'm ready to purchase.

I can't think of a better group of people to learn from than here.
