RIC doesn't release production numbers, so it would be pretty much impossible to know

There are 107 of them registered in the RRF Register. Made from 1972 to 1983

http://www.rickresource.com/register/in ... 52&order=5

So at least that many!

I believe they were in the catalog untill 1985, 1983 is just the latest example in the Register.

There is no hard evidence to go on outside of the RRF.

My gut reaction would be about 1000 in total (or a 100 or so a year) -

From 1976 to 1982 RIC made between 5000 to 7000 instruments a year. Most of them in that era were 4000 series basses...

No hard evidence to support any of this - just from browsing the RRF and from the number of them I have seen over the years...

All of it pure speculation on my part...

But i hope it helps you.

So do you have one???
