It only goes to show that you do require some talent to play a Ric, or any instrument.

You know what I mean: wannabe garage band drummers trying to cover.

I have had the pleasure of playing with only one drummer in the last 35 years who could do Ringo licks correctly. This is because, like Ringo, he was left-handed, playing a conventional right-handed drumset. So he had the same natural shuffle, and started the patterns with his left hand as well. We perfectly locked, since I am also left-handed, although I do play conventional right-handed instruments, including bass, instead of left-handed instruments.

Kind of like left handed guitar players having different phrasing than right handers.
