I know they (Gold Truss covers) are available from time to time for 'swapsies' with the factory, they available these days?
Or is it strictly white?

I doubt it, but the only way to really know is to contact RIC Customer Service...

Of course I have tried that! But kept getting errors while trying to use the email form.. I see direct replies from ric staff on here so figured this would be the second best option.

Well, no, it's not. If you read the forum rules: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4171You'll see this: Quote: Lastly, please do not attempt to use the forums as a substitute for customer service. If you have a problem with your guitar, you are free to ask the other forums members for advice, and RIC staff may chime in from time to time, but our participation here is on a “time permitting” basis. The quickest, easiest, and most appropriate way to have a question answered by our staff is to call our service department at 714-545-5574, or to email service@rickenbacker.com (all inquiries regarding warranty repair in North America should be directed here as well). I can't tell you why the form thing didn't work, but either of the above, calling (which is actually the best way, there's only about 60 people total at RIC, and most don't use a computer at work), or email should get your answers...

I don't think this is a question unanswerable on the board. It's pretty simple. However, my answer isn't going to be of much help, because ultimately you're going to end up having to call Ric to prove you own a real Ric to get the name plate. I believe they require you to send in the old one. As far as I know, they're always willing to help if you comply.

When RIC sells a TRC, it's in the form of an exchange that must be preceded by a phone call where the serial number for your instruemnt is recorded and a return authorization number is issued. They will only send you a gold one if you have a gold one to exchange.

Sorry, but there was a error on the site due to some internal server changes. It's now been corrected. FWIW, the actual email addresses have always been posted there for anyone that cares to use their own email client.
