I've also got an MXR Distortion + that's great on low gain / high output but I haven't used it that much recently. I like to think it's because the clean sound is just so great and not because I'm getting old.

The MXR is my main distortion, but I never cared for it with my 360. It works great for the 620/12, though. The problem is that it ups the treble, so with an already high-treble instrument, it can get messy.

Do you boost the MXR for leads with another pedal?

High gain amps for serious grind, with a clean boost for the death tones. Yes Virginia, you can do the metal tonz with a Ric. Here's a clip I made with my 360 a few weeks ago. It was done on the fly, with my old Solo Series Peavey Bandit 112 (which uses an early version of the TransTube circuitry), in the high gain channel. There are a few clunkers, but it shows that with the right amp setup, Rics can rage with the best of them:

I use Tube Screamer and Daddy-O overdrives, and a Sparkle Drive....sometimes all together. I have a couple of distortion pedals as well; I should probably put one in the pedal chain for a crunch option.

That's all I've got. I tend to use it as a "loud" pedal - distortion on about 3-4 but output on about 8. It's not so fizzy on those settings but it pushes the amp and you get a noticeable volume kick. That can mean serious feedback as well if you want it!

Wow, that's some really heavy tone for a Ric 360. I definitely didn't expect that it could sound so awesome for metal.

Nope, don't use anything. Play my EA-250 Epiphone clean through a Gretsch Electromatic amp. Rockabilly doesn't need anything else.

Nah. Maybe if I was serious about playing guitar instead of bass,
was better at it, and was playing my Tele-clone or the Sheraton.
The EA-250 sounds so good clean, it would be a shame to mess
with the sound.
