Hello there

I have bought a used 2030 Glenn Frey Bass, but in the case there's no wrench to adjust the truss rod. Does anyone know how which wrench use for the truss rod?

For my RICs, I use a 1/4 inch socket wrench and a small vise grip to turn the wrench.

I am not sure if there is anything special about the truss on a Glenn Frey but this system works with my 300 series and 600 series guitars.

These are also the same pieces of equipment recommended by Roger McGuinn on his video and that advice has served me well when I have needed it, which is seldom.

Let me know if this works.

I am told there can be a bridge adjustment that may also create some pleasing action. But I am not familiar with that as my bridges rarely require much major tweeking. A slight turn to tighten or loosen here and there usually keeps things flat and smooth and without buzz.

Vitus, a long handled 7mm nut driver is the best tool when a 1/4 inch one is not available. A thin wall socket can also be used but use the screwdriver-like handle rather than the ratchet so you don't break the rod off.

A 1/4 inch socket wrench is not standard in Italy, a 7mm nut driver is all I can find in stores...I will ask Rickenbacker Italian distributor where I can find the original Rick wrench.
