On a guitar it would be the fingerboard radius (curve) or also the top radius of an arch top guitar or bridge . . .

A lower radius (more round) makes chording easier but a larger (flatter) radius makes leadwork easier. Ric's 10" radius is a good middle ground betwen Fender (7.5-9" and Gibson (12-15").
