Dale...you are able to provide the "fountain of youth" for Rickenbacker guitars. Your restoration work on the 49 year old Combo has, in effect, taken the guitar on a trip back in time, to 1957.
The "Twilight Zone" part of this is the owner will also enjoy a trip back in time when he plays the guitar. When he sent you the guitar he was so much older then, but he's younger than that now.

Dale, nice job! I own two '57 Combo 450s with the same "transitional" body style. I've only seen about 5 of these now. Very cool.

Great job Dale, and a fantastic guitar too. That's a cool 450 for sure.

Dale, All I can say right now is WOW! and THANK YOU ! So every one else understands, I'm the one who hung onto this Guitar for Forty Years, I always knew that someday, I would be able to return it to former glory. I just didn't know how. That is until I met Dale on this forum. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found a truly talented Luthier, a Rickenbacker Enthusiast and a really great guy. I can't wait to see my guitar in person and plug it in for a trip back to the days of Loui-Loui or Inogadadivida. I think RIKandVOX is right, I already feel 10 years younger just seeing the pictures. When I play it I'm sure to start my second childhood. Anyone know where I can find a paisly shirt?

Lovely work, Dale. Can you do that with humans? I think I need a bit of restoration work also! :)
